Hi

For years, I have been using Skechers Odor Eliminator Spray for my shoes and w.o. gloves, hen I finish my w.o. The 6oz bottle used to be $8. Several months ago, I walked in to a store to buy a few more, and they were $10. They have now raised the price to $12. No.

Any other suggs?

Thanks in advance.

Wash the gloves in Woolite in your kitchen sink.

Wear clean socks.

Why not find the cause of a foot odor?
Bromodosis is often curable. A foot doctor can write Rx for stronger remedies that might be more helpful.

Tell us a little more about the socks and shoes you wear. Especially what they are made of.

BTW:
Did you try other (better rated) stuff?

Feet soaks?
Soak your feet in Epsom salt, or salt water or baking soda. Bathe your feet in vinegar.

What about replacing shoe inserts?

You can also try to spray them with Febreze and stuff with dryer sheets.

Many times the so-called odor-eliminators just cover-up the stinkiness...in-spite of all the
fancy claims.

Once the fragrance of the odor-eliminator" wears-off, you are back to square-one.....maybe minus a small amount of stink that has actually been neutralized.

If you have a nasty odor that you need gone, figure out where it is
coming from then start scrubbing.

Thank you for the responses, and I will check those AZN links. I don't have an odor problem; that's not why I use the spray. Shoulda said this in my op.

It's really for drying the sweat inside the shoes once I am done. These are slip ons, and there are no socks. Oh, and my headband as well.

Thx!

Never wear the same clothes and shoes two days in a row. Sweat in shoes has to evaporate. Buy charcoal insoles like Odor Eaters. I buy a generic version on Amazon for less. Makes my shoes more comfortable when walking long distances. I don't own 'official' walking shoes, just Keds lace up sneakers or Vans slip ons.

You can actually make something out of baking soda and newspaper--put a few tablespoons of baking soda in a square of newspaper to make a sachet, stuff enough sachets into an old sock to fit your shoe. Put your sachet socks in your shoes to absorb odor and moisture when you're not wearing them.

What do you mean "there are no socks"? I'm looking at a couple right now on my dresser. Maybe you meant "I choose not to wear socks" in which case it's no wonder the insides of your shoes get nasty; that's why socks exist; so, wear clean socks.

As for the gloves and headband, spraying a liquid on something that's wet with sweat isn't going to make it dry out faster. Either hang the stuff out to dry when you get home, or wash it each time, or have two sets so you can wear one while the other's drying out; then as I noted you can periodically wash gloves in the kitchen sink with Woolite (I do this with cycling gloves), and of course a headband if it's the ordinary terry cloth kind can simply be washed with your other items.

To dry the sweats (feet shouldn't sweat that much), you can just put newspaper inside, or take the inserts out to air dry.

And yes, you should wear socks with your shoes. That's what they are for. Cotton socks, not polyester.

Many years ago, back when Billy Mays was alive..

There was a product called What Odor? And.. It was quite good.

That company seems to have gone out of business.. The only thing I really know of is Odoban.. Which, you can get a gallon of it from Amazon for under $10.

Not sure how well it works.
