I've modified my routine slightly and added running every morning for 20 mins or so.
I've recalculated my calorie needs and they seem high to me. Maybe some of you nutrtiion gurus can help me out. I'm eating at a 20% deficit of my maintenance cals and those are the number below
My BMR = 2114
Cals on days of only running = 2600 approx.
Cals on days of only weight lifting = 2800 approx.
Cals on days of weights and running = just over 3000
Does this seem high? I currently eat about 2400 a day and 3000 seems like a lot of food.
I'm not talking cheeseburgers here, I eat clean 5-6 days a week.
You have to figure that on your 3000 DCI days you are fueling your body for weights and cardio....are you still trying to lose body fat or are you strictly maintaining/gaining mass at this point?

lol.....yea i'm sure you do ......okay, so you figure, you want to be at a DCI deficit of at least -500 calories per day in order to maintain consistent loss of body fat....the days you do cardio and weights you have to average a total daily burn of at least 3500 calories so you should be good where you are. You'd be surprised how fast 600 calories can add up. Do you have a meal plan? Sometimes we get too wraped up in calories and forget about nutrition.....let me know I will hook you up with a really great one that I have for what you are looking to do....

I had high cholesterol remember? Of course I have good nutrition.
I eat so much chicken I think I can lay an egg. I'd be interested to see what you have to offer tho.
That seems really high to me but Im so used to eating 1200-1400 calories a day 2600 calories a day sounds like heaven.
On the weekends I tend to eat more though definately over 2000 but If I do that for more than a week I will definately gain.
