Now I am probably the weakest man on Earth. Never benched. When I was a young man at 275 lbs I used to do reps with 750 squat and could clean and jerk 300.

I hate watching guys do this without spotters. Scares the crap out of me. I can only imagine the sound of failure.

Yea, a few guys have died from the bar coming down on there neck or chest. They must have passed out or something because you should just be able to tilt the bar to one side to abort the lift if nobody is around.

Im not the strongest guy in the world when it comes to bench presses, squats, etc. But I can sure transfer a LOT of force when hitting. Seen too many guys who can press the world but are unable to fight their way out of a paper bag.

I just hit 3 bills for my bench press. I can deadlift 280 for 6 reps right now. I don't hit my 1 rep max ever cuz I don't have a spotter.

I have to take it slow on my deadlifting because I've had a back injury my whole life so I'm taking baby steps on that.

+1

I love it when guys are like "what can ya bench?" And I'm just like "I can guess, maybe 220 at 1 rep, but I can beat the crap out of guys who can bench twice that!" (that's about how much I can bench and I weigh 150).

Actually that reminds me of a really spry Thai kickboxing+BJJ guy who wailed on this super huge freak who only knew boxing. He basically kicked his knees till he fell and he jumped on him and submissioned him. Took about 10 minutes but he did it.

I never try to max out on lifts. I'm trying to stay as injury free as I can, and trying to lift up to your maximum amount of weight is the easiest way to injure yourself. Also maxing out doesn't really give you any benefit besides knowing your strength. Sometimes I'll do a 3 or 4 rep set, but that's as low as i'll go.

I have never benched. I prefer dips which are harder. But I can break 5 boards with a sidekick and 4 with a palm strike.

I love when guys say "He can bench (whatever) but I can beat the crap out of him!".

I can just feel the testosterone.
