I wouldn't mind living on the west coast (like Portland) if I had a decent amount of rainboots. I only own one pair.

What I like about it here in GA is the sun always shines. When it rains, it rains hard for a short time and then the sun is out again. The short showers are welcome and refreshing.
What I hate are dreary days when the weather can't make up its mind.
As for fashion and beauty....rain gives me hair frizz, but I don't care.

I love the rain. The smell outside, before it starts. The sounds on the window or rooftop.

I hate when my hands are wet. Maybe, I have a problem, but I don't care for wet hands.

That great earthy smell after a good rain, love it also.

I actually like a fine, mist-like drizzle. not all the time mind you, but it does feel nourishing.

The cloudy wet days make you feel like hibernating though, compared to bright and sunny when you wake up early, invigorated and enthused and looking forward to the day.

Actually, for me, unless it's nasty and cold outside, it's almost the opposite. Dark overcast skies + warm-ish temperatures make me pretty happy.

If I had to wear rainboots all the time, it'd get boring just wearing the same boots every day.

I own a pair of sneakers and a pair of dress shoes. I almost never wear the dress shoes. In effect, I only own one pair of shoes, and can only wear one pair at a time anyhow. There's no need for a second pair.

By the time tax season rolls around again, the sneakers will have been trashed, and I can buy black short boots instead. That way, I can wear them to both jobs.
