I think when you have a BF, they'll tell you whatever you want to hear. lol
I'm thin and have been told that I'm curvy by an ex, but I don't think the general public would consider me so because despite the fact that I'm 34-26-36, I'm quite thin in my arms and legs and the thinness is what people notice first/most. So yeah, I think it's about weight and mostly in reference to thicker-meaty women with lots of cushion going on everywhere.
Finely. This topic annoys me. All of the above girls are ''curvy'' without a doubt INCLUDING the thin girl- look at her defined waist to hip ratio, shes an hourglass body type.
Body type has nothing to do with how much someone weighs, thin or bigger women can have hourglass shapes- its their bone structure and how they carry the weight that makes someone an 'hourglass' (curvy); 'pear shaped' (curvy on the lower half); 'apple' (big on the belly, not curvy), 'rectangle' (straight up and down shape, not curvy), Inverted pear (bigger shoulders, thin hips). And as I said women with these bone structures come in all sizes! Im a thin hourglass shape myself, and my measurements fit what is technically to be considered 'hourglass', but because im thin other women say i need to put on weight and that men prefer curves
