I always wear hats in the winter. Every one of my dozen hats came from a different destination in our travel. My most treasure hat is a mink from Italy, which I wore very often while living there. Since almost all Italian women love fur, my mink hat was never an issue, but since we moved back to the States, I had put it away for fear that it may be destroyed by angry PETA. Now I only wear it when travel to cold climate countries.
My husband has several beautiful fedoras for fall and winter, and Montecristi panama hats for spring.

The only time I wear hats with any regularity is from fall through early spring, and those are usually berets. I wear them to work and leave them on for the added warmth, and I attach old dress clips to them for a little glitz.
Don't wear hats in summer as often as I should, and when I do it's usually my rickety cowboy hat. Once in awhile baseball caps. I do have a strawhats for festivals and I tie bright scarves around them.
I wear hats very, very well ~ or so, people think.
Couple of times a week. Mostly slouchy knit caps, newsboy styles, Fidel Castro caps. Moreso in colder months, when my hair gets dry and static-y and flyaway. A cap helps keep it contained and makes it so I don't really have to do my hair.
Yes, mostly a cap on summertime but if I wear a dress, then a nice hat. I have got 2 hats and about 12 caps, lol ... And yeah, no winter time without hat... All, hand knitted wool, lol... Some of my wool hats are from fantasy world, lol
Being military we must utilize a cover (hat) at all time while outdoors, with a few exceptions. Covers obviously must be removed as we enter a building. recently I wear hats with my civilian attire and always reach to snatch it off just as I enter a building kind of funny actually. I've notice the little hair I possess to be a tad messy. Darn hats
I wear hats when I am cold, or when I go to the Las Vegas casinos. I miss seeing people in hats. I'm sick to death of the ubiquitous baseball hat. Bor-ing ! Hats should come with ties to keep the wind from blowing them off. I love a brim that I can flip up or down. yay hats. A man in a nice hat always catches my eye. (and it's nice when he returns the eye)

Baseball/basketball caps still seem really common in the US. Here they were huge in the 90s and maybe early 00s (I used to wear one EVERYWHERE as a kid, indoors and out, even to sleep sometimes!). Also see a lot of guys sporting the 'backwards cap' look as if it's still cool.
I love hats for winter. My father's military issue fur lined ear flap winter hat is the "taking out the trash hat" for decades and counting. That thing is so warm, you can skip the coat wearing. For everyday I like something light and soft knit that wont squash my hair down.
