I wonder if it all began when guys began shaving their heads.
Maybe the smooth anti-hair look took off from there.

I have heard from my 16 year old daughter that "all" the girls do this, and if a boy should happen to find out that you don't then "everyone" talks about how hairy and disgusting you are ...so, at least in the younger set, is this hair removal something they choose from a comfort or fashion standpoint, or is it sort of foisted on them in order to not be talked about..of course there is the point that no one should no if they have hair or not, but that's another topic! I admit that I was really put off by it all. It just seems like a high maintenance thing, and I would rather she spend time studying than shaving - hahahaha.

I saw the link this morning.
It was a slew of girls in bikinis and yes, the photo indicated that they were *completely* hair-free.
I don't really get the look, myself, but then I am probably out of step with the latest fashions.
Wax treatments hurt a bit but the ouch factor is not that bad--but then, I've never had a Brazilian let alone "taken care of" my entire nether regions.
big bushy hair is unbecoming and, especially in bikini season, quite unsightly when you've got a few pubes hanging out. :gross: also shaving it all off will keep you cleaner, i'm sure drier, and it is much more enjoyable for us men during... certain intimate times. there's nothing more disgusting than picking a 4" pube out of your teeth.. this isn't the 80's and big hair on either end is not a mark of achievement
so ladies, for the sake of hygene and for the sake of your husbands, think about it a little more. my wife is completely clean down there and let me tell you, it is better for the both of us!

Seems unusual, but maybe I am just getting old...
