The color name was "apple"

The lipstick case was a semi matte black (or maybe navy?) with a silver ring in the middle, silver color sticker on the bottom. The case shape was just a round classic bullet. Nothing fancy. This was the package style of this brand in the 90s. No, its not MAC. It was a drugstore brand I do believe or maybe a department store brand. Maybe Avon?

The color was exactly like apple skin. Soft red that looked natural. Worked on pale and dark skin as it could go on a little sheer depending on application. It was one of those reds that you just could not over-do because of the natural softness of the color.

I wanted to look for it again or find something similar.

As I recall Cover Girl had cases that looked like that - sorry, your description of the case could probably be lots of brands.

Estee Lauder has used navy for a lot of their packaging.

Caboodles (they made those plastic makeup boxes) had lipstick that was packaged like that. I was just thinking about it the other day because their red was the only red I've ever found that looked natural on me.

CG and EL made me remember...lol

I kept three staples.
A CG,EL and clinique (which I forgot about and is the actual color I am thinking of - Spiced Apple)

I just was thinking it was in the CG case perhaps...

Thanks for helping jog my memory!
