By 'a lot' I mean extensive visible tattoos. Not necessarily like the 'leopard man', but say a full sleeve, or more than half a dozen small-medium ones all over their body. Basically visible enough that someone passing them on the street immediately noticed them.
Also state your gender (and the gender you're interested in). I can appreciate an artistic tatt, but I dunno how I feel about the human body being a canvas for art...I mean it's cool to look at, but I think the human body itself can be a work of art, and would I want it to be there 24/7 all the time?
I mean be in a fairly serious RS with that person, just wondering if it would be a dealbreaker?
Say this person was physically attractive, and you got a long pretty well.
As someone with a lot of tattoos, if they are tasteful, yes. I've had a partner with a handful of tattoos. The majority did not have any tattoos. It has never been an issue when I dated or was in the dating scene. I have dated many professionals, a doctor, lawyer, professors, business professionals, teachers/academics, and software developers. Never an issue. They always admired my work. I have generally lived in progressive, diverse cities (So Cal and Atlanta). My ex-husband is prior military and has not a single tattoo (yet), and my current beau also has none. I have 25 and counting.
I cannot answer the question, because what I think of the person's tattoos will depend on whether I find them attractive. Attractivness and tattoos are not mutually exclusive.
Would I date an attractive person with a lot of tattoos?
Would I date a skinny person who was fat?
Sorry, women with a lot of tattoos are simply not attractive to my eyes. Tattoos ruin a thing of beauty. It's like painting graffiti over a masterpiece.
"Would you date an attractive person if they had a lot of tattoos?"
Depends on the tats, their location and the quantity.
But, generally speaking, I would have to say "a lot of tattoos" would make them unattractive to me.
