I wash my jeans once a week. I get about three wears first then they sit in the hamper for a few days.

I wear them at least twice before washing.

Once I was walking behind a very well dressed lady in the mall and noticed something coming out of the bottom of her pants! As she walked it came out more and I noticed it was a pair of underwear lol She noticed there was something there and I was shocked when she turned around saw me looking and she just kicked her nasty underwear to the side and walked away.
Dirty B. :P

After dirty activities or extreme weather, I wash them right away.

Barring any extremes, I'll wear them until they don't look fresh anymore--usually 3 times.

How do you "wash" suits?
Wash machine, low temp, very good iron and cotton cloth.

If they look clean, and I didn't do much while wearing them, I'll wear them twice before I wash them.

Most jeans today are designed to look a bit dirty, so that makes it easier to get away without washing them too often. The way they smell is probably more important than the way they look.

I did recently read an article about a designer (was it Ralph Lauren?) saying to never wash them, or to do so once/yr. < Screech!! > I don't know about that, although lately, I've seen many men who look like they never launder them due to how baggy & wrinkled they are. Yikes... I beg to differ. I'm a bit of an OCD clean freak.

Note: It appears it was Tommy Hilfigger, who claims to go 6-mos+ sans washing at all.

Anderson Cooper is famous for never washing his jeans. He was told, probably by Hilfiger, that washing them ruins the fabric.

Of course Anderson never sweats or shovels manure.

Perhaps off-topic, for a nice pair of designer black distressed looking jeans what temperature water do you wash them in? Worn to the office, no construction work or heavy labor, lol.

2 to three times wearing max, depending on what you did in them. If heavy gardening work or the like maybe after wearing. My take is that normally unless you are sweating or doing something active, you can wear clothes twice before washing them. If they are clothes that are dry cleanable only, I only dry clean once or twice a season. If food has dropped on the clothing, it either needs to be washed or if a little spot, you can spot clean or use shout wipes. If you are a man, wearing an undershirt will help and you can wear your shirts a few times provided you hang them up after wearing.

That's true. I wonder how many people who say they go for weeks or months without washing have stuck their noses in them and taken a big whiff. You're going to walk around like that?
