I don't think it's fake. You may be underestimating how hungry dark-skinned women are for some measure of validation in American society. It certainly doesn't happen frequently. Many lighter-skinned black women are also savvy enough to understand, "If we aren't all making it, none of us is making it."

Depends on how he approaches. Being the father of a black daughter, I can tell you that a whole lot of black men need some serious training on how to approach a woman they are interested in meeting...from something other than rap videos.

Projecting a aura of personal threat, for instance, is not the way. If you're sending a message of "give me your number or I'll eff you up," what kind of look do you expect from a woman?

Actually, Alek Wek is still dark-skinned and slender.

But in American pop visual media (television, movies, fashion modeling), "there can be only one" black women in the top rungs, and that's been true since the mid 60s.

Alec Wek, though, is not a conventionally cute as Lupita is. Lupita is one of those who would have heard in America growing up, "You're pretty...for a dark-skinned girl." (I don't know why people think that's a compliment.)

Though... I asked some black men the other day, somewhat jokingly, what they were doing to all these women that has female American escorts both black and white posting things like "No African American Men!!!!!!!" and "No blacks" and "No Black Men." I didn't think much of it when I crossed an ad of a big booty, young, Black-American woman advertising herself for escorting (prostitution really) and putting up "No Black Men" as clientele she won't deal with. Many of the women put up men/women/couples as all three clientele they will essentially prostitute with. The other common theme by the women escorts posting is to say things like, "I like gentlemen that know how to treat a lady." They use a lot of pretension to snobbish "refinement" and so-called "class."

I don't really have anything against Black-American men raised in Hip Hop culture that use the common language of that culture to approach women. It stands to reason they would. As long as they are "real" that bothers me far less than men or women that are fake and pretend to be some queens and kings of England they are not. Like those female escorts and the sucker men that fall for their game of appealing to the male ego of wanting to look "sophisticated" and "better" than working class men that speak to women with sincerity of the heart. Such sincerity might be expressed at time like, "Hey! can you grab that bottle of ketchup off the kitchen table?" or "Hey! can you grab that bottle of ketchup off the kitchen table, baby?

White women can come from the working class too. And they can speak that common language with the men of their neighborhoods. They might appreciate the way their working class men speak. Scarlett Johanson's character in Don Jon has an East Coast working class speak and mannerisms to her. Sexy if you ask me. None of this Queen of England stuff.
Sorry but this didn't happen.

What I'm really saying is that I prefer "natural," or reasonably close to something I can pretend could be natural.

I can't take seriously someone who says "I like black beauty" whose examples are women who are interracial.
First of all, Amber Rose does not have butt length straight hair. Her hair is even shorter than Lupita's.

Funny how Amber Rose is ""interracial"" when it best suits you. You just said you ""don't like bleached hair on black people"" thus insinuating she is black but when some one mentions her beauty suddenly she is ""interracial"

You mentioned having prejudice about hair, I have a preferance with skin tone. I prefer medium tones like Amber Rose, thats why I tan as I find pale white skin not attractive. I also do not like skin thats too dark. Thats just me. Think about it, its an unwritten rule that skin tone has to be medium. Thats why white people tan & thats why all the most famous black women in Hollywood are lighter than their peers. The only notable exception IMO was Naomi Campbell because her bone structure is chiselled to the Gods. She could of been pink with silver dots & still slayed.

Stop trying to make fetch happen. Lupita is no Naomi

They need to get out of the hip-hop culture and get into at least the John Legend culture.

So not sure where this racist tomfoolery comes from.

Am not black but I'm not dumb its clear that in the black community the Alek Weks are good to make tongues wiggle for one season but you know who consistantly holds black attention? Rhihanna & Beyonce.

Poor child. Why would someone as bigoted as you be allowed to adopt a child?

No offence but the definition of a handsome man is tall, DARK & handsome so if you are light, you will look feminine Why dont you tan?

You may need to check your reading comprehension. I certainly did not say that Amber Rose had long straight hair.

You might want to check your reading comprehension. I didn't combine those two concepts at all.

Part of that chiseling is man-made. But again, you might want to check your reading comprehension. I didn't call your name, nor was I responding to you.
