The phrase "Tramp Stamp" is quite offensive and in reality does not apply to many who have a tattoo anywhere on their body.
Tramp stamp is like tongue piercing. Its a generation thing. Express thyself.
If you are offended by it you are out of it. 10 years from now, surgeries will all be equipped with fans to draw off the smoke from laser skin blemish removals
Do you have one?
How old were you when you got it?
Do you regret it now?
Do you get offended at the term "Tramp Stamp"
I have a lower back tattoo, I got it when I was 29, about a decade ago. I love it. I don't get offended by the term, but I think it's kind of silly and unoriginal. It's one of the most practical spots for tattoo art for a woman, easily able to be concealed or shown, as one prefers or as the occasion calls for.
Why? I don't think it's offensive. Most terms are not offensive except by people who are too sensitive. I think it's just a term for the location of the tattoo, nothing more. I considered getting one but decided against it because I'd rather be able to see my own tattoo, thus I have just two on my upper arms. I think that particular location is less popular than it used to be. Backpieces and ribpieces are more in vogue.
I have a friend who got one about 15 years ago and she jokes that it's a "tramp stamp". She kind of regrets it, but has a sense of humor about it.
I dont think the term is offensive, as stated it mostly refers to the location. No I dont and I wouldnt get a tattoo there, it personally doesnt look attractive there IMO but may depend on the tattoo.
If a woman is wearing a bikini or hipster shorts when seen from a distance it looks like she is "dirty" there. That is why I don't like them. My husband DESPISES them. He was the first I heard use the term "tramp stamp". A lot of men really seem not to like them for some reason.
I don't have cottage cheese, so no my tramp stamp isn't to distract or draw attention to it. But I do have a**, and my tattoo artist and anyone who's seen my tat have all said the way the tattoo is designed really emphasizes and draws attention to the shape of my hips and my big derriere, and I guess from what you've guys said that is the point, lmao. I look at my tat and think it's sexy as [Snip.].
That being said I don't wear mid-driffs and rarely wear crop tops so no one sees my tat, it's really meant for me, not for others. If people think I'm a tramp based on a tattoo then so be it. Anyone who knows me, knows it's quite the opposite and really that's all that matters, I don't care for people who judge me without knowing me, and if they ASSume one thing then that's on them. :-)
You spent hundreds of dollars to get a permanent picture on a body part you say "no one sees"? I'm curious as to how much time you spend looking at yourself naked in the mirror ... looks divided by cost, for example.

I didnt spend my money on the tattoo. And yes no one sees it except me and any guy I have sex with or friends that I show it to. Why is that an issue to you? And I like how I look naked so I look at myself in the mirror everyday. In fact I have a mirror that hangs on my door just so I can look at myself. So considering how often I see it and the fact that it wasn't my money that was spent on it, I'd say it was worth every penny that my ex gave me.
Some people get tats to show them off to anyone walking by others get them for personal reasons. Idk I can't imagine regretting something permanent, when I got mine I made sure that it was for the right reasons and I chose a picture that meant something to me.
