Anything that resembles food. Vanilla, raspberry, etc.

I read once that the most aphrodisiac of scents (to men) was a hybrid of lavender and doughnuts.

Yep. Most of my favorite perfumes include gourmand scents. I received a lot of compliments from men and women when I wore these types and other "primal" musk-based fragrances.

Perfumes smell a little different depending upon the person wearing it... they interact with an individual's body chemistry.

That being said, I like Dune by Dior (spicy oriental); Opium by Yves Saint Laurent (another oriental); and I'll throw in Chanel Coco Noir, which I love, but it's had a so-so reception since it came out a few years ago. It's another oriental.

When I think of "sexy" scents I think of orientals right away. But amber perfumes are also pretty sensual in an exotic way... I have a bottle of Yves Rocher Ambre Noir that I love.

Basically stay away from florals which are more appropriate for the daytime.

Anything Oriental for me and any expensive purfumes applied liberally to annoy the haters, although I abstain in Doctors offices and hospitals.

There isn't a right or wrong answer to this question. Everybody likes different scents.

Dune by Dior aaahhhh the 90's. I used to love this one. Do they still make it?

Absolutely! Gosh, I remember wearing Lauren years ago. I loved it and others loved it on me. OMG when I would smell it on sweaters after I had worn them it was like heaven. Now that my chemistry has changed due to age (hormonal change) it smells like bug spray on me! Now there are many scents that smell like this pesticide-like gag-inducing disaster on me. I have to be really careful and selecting a new perfume is a very long process, involving many days and many processes of elimination...perfume ladies at Dillard's do NOT like me. I usually end up only buying any scent I select in lotion or creme form. Less of a chance to overwhelm...

My favorite scent is no longer produced (and then it was only available in Spain): Luz by Victorio y Lucchini. I did recently find it on Ebay, though, so I am trying it again.
