It's a very exciting time! I remember very well the look on my mom's face when I tried on a formal dress at that age, and the way BOTH felt when we found "the right" dress. Have fun!

Ditto on the no neckace, but I do think some dangly-ish earrings (not huge) and a bracelet or cuff would look great.

The dress is lovely and stands on it's own. I would suggest a simple crystal drop earring, not long and dangling just enough length to move a bit. I would also look for a pretty silver and crystal bracelet.

My suggestion is simple, sparkly stud earring and yes to the hair up.

I also agree on no necklace and add on a sparkly bracelet.

I also agree on the flats. If she'll be dancing all night, let her have her flats. It won't be showing anyways.

I'm kind of surprised to read all the opinions that she's too young for dangly earrings. I mean, she's a teenager, not a toddler. Sure, I don't think she needs to be wearing the big heavy earrings that tug on the lobes from the sheer weight of them. But there are plenty of chandelier styles that are practically weightless.

Is there some other reason other than weight that people object to a teenager wearing anything dangly?

what a lovely dress! (I have seen what 12-13 year olds sometimes pick out for parties and they are sometimes so inappropriate)

I am thinking flats if she prefers them.
hair up, maybe something sparkly in her hair.
and a cool pretty clutch

I love that dress. Very pretty! I think a rhinestone bracelet is a must.

Higher neckline=hair up.

Short sparkly drop or hoop earrings (hair up=No stud earrings)

Sparkly bracelets.

Flats.

No necklace.
