Still, no-one is mentioning the elephant in the room... or should that be the camel in the room?

So, I hope the ladies that are wearing leggings, are covering up with a longer top also...

no-one, or about 20 people, same, same, right?

yes, most people who said they were leggings also mentioned they wear longer tops or sweaters with them.

Hopefully, it is a fad that will go away soon. They were popular 20 years ago and left, so it could happen.

ugh at my typo. Of course that should be WEAR leggings, not "were leggings". To the best of my recollection, no one has claimed to be a pair of leggings. Not yet anyway.

People are welcome to their own opinions, but they're also welcome to stuff it if they're trying to make others feel bad no compelling reason. I can't imagine any of the truly classy people I know acting narky about the aesthetics of random strangers' clothing choices.

I think the world would be a lot more agreeable if people employed a simple practice: if something is harmless but not to your personal preference, don't do/wear/watch/buy/eat/etc. it yourself, but let people who do enjoy it, enjoy it.

So WTF do I wear for cycling and gym workouts, dress clothes? A burqa?

Let me guess... you're one of those older fuddy duddies who I see poking along the bike trails at 6-7 MPH on their "comfort bikes" thinking they're actually getting a decent workout.

Some people aren't biking for workout purposes. I usually ride my bike for transportation, to get some fresh air or stress release. In whatever outfit that makes sense for the day. Some times it is leggings. Other times it is a dress or jeans. And if I am going to the gym, then yes gym clothes. I am not concerned with pace at all. My bike isn't a comfort bike - I went all in to recreate a 1940s French city bike.
