I currently have a pair of oxford shorts in my favorite shade of pink, and I recently ordered a pair of chino shorts in that same color.
I wonder, how do chino and oxford shorts compare? My oxford shorts are very lightweight; I personally wouldn't wear them outside the house. Are chino shorts generally heavier? Looking at the differences between the two, the oxford shorts are a cotton/poly/spandex blend, while the chino shorts are mostly cotton with 2% spandex.
Can anyone explain how chino and oxford shorts generally compare?
When I have had oxford cloth shorts, I made sure not to wear them that often. The fabric wears out much more quickly than khaki/chino. It was not meant to be sat upon.

I probably would never wear my oxford shorts outside my house. They are mainly for being around the house.
