1966 graduate. I had a black and white hounds tooth wool skirt I wore with a short sleeveless red velvet top that zipped up the back and a blouse out of a soft billowy polyester material with long puffy sleeves I wore under it. The shoes were black patent, chunky boot-like shoes with brass buttons up the front.
I loved that outfit.
Another was navy blue velveteen, slightly A-line dress with puffy poet sleeves. The inside of the cuffs was lined with dark red sateen. Both collar and sleeves were trimmed with antique white crochet lace.
I've waited a long time for the Boho to come back and am in heaven.
A black and white checked skirt or slacks with a red top is a timeless combination
I'm a 1984 high school graduate. I tend to naturally gravitate more to the 1970s hippie bohemian look (I also love the look of wide leg low-cut jeans, peasant tops, long hair, and big hoop earrings).
But, from the early 80s, I did really like the look of the very long, women's classic-looking coats and the argyle sweaters that were all the rage.

Lol. We were just talking about Senior pics. 1990s floral, Laura Ashley...lets start with that. Jumpsuits, drop waist dresses. Things more appropriate for a 5 year old.
Does anyone remember a brand called Units from the 80's? It was like modular clothing. All the same knit fabric, and all really kind of boxy in construction, but you mixed and matched colors and pieces and used these shirred bands to create different shapes. It's actually quite brilliant to be honest. The original capsule wardrobe. I kind of wish we had something like this now.

Vera Bradley makes quilted purses and backpacks now that are somewhat popular. Not my style but some women love them.

Yah not my style either.........I don't like the style of any kind of fabric purses. BUT I also don't like Laura Ashley purses in any fabric like canvas or straw or leather......AND Laura Ashley furniture is a no IMO too.
Graduated in '92. Was a 'new romantic' early-goth in the late 80s and morphed into a kind of gothish grunge in the 90s. Baggy jeans, worn-out Docs and black on black plaid flannel. Ruffled silk blouses under band t-shirts. Also loved wearing saree fabric skirts and vintage men's blazers with ripped up t-shirts. I'd still dress like this if I could. Probably get tons of really weird looks, though, at 45.
