there are many factors, but i think the number one aging factor which makes the young look old is carrying a large amount of excess weight.
old people earn their 'old' physical traits such as jowls and wrinkles (we can't stop gravity), but very fat 20 and 30 somethings look 40 or 50 years old because they are so overweight....and the majority of this young age group is overweight or obese. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/obesity-overweight.htm

Possibly, but a shuffling gait makes someone look older and that's the question.
I hurt my back last year carrying big planters.. and was bent over with pain for weeks.. I passed a full length mirror and almoust died when I saw how much it changed my appearance..I looked so old.. so posture makes a big difference as does walking smart..
A lot of younger people now have "head-forward" posture due to phone use and leaning over laptops. That will only get worse as they age if they continue those habits.
Not necessarily, fillers and botox work wonders, as does good hair color and cut.
Or you can just say "To heck with all this, I know I look good for my age!" and just go natural. But of course, one does have to look good for one's age to really pull that off.
I don't use any fillers or botox or hair color and I feel great about myself. I really don't care of people think I am (gasp) 59 - because I AM 59.

You are beautiful and in great shape! My hair is gray but I don't care - I just put pink or blue or purple streaks in it sometimes for the heck of it and it shows up great!

This makes me so sad. I'm 65 and when I was in elementary school there was just one kid who was overweight. This was the case all through elementary school - just one boy. I can't remember even one kid in high school who was overweight and now in just one generation, that number has increased so much. I don't believe in fat shaming but I also don't think it's helpful to celebrate obesity with the "in your face" attitude that seems prevalent today.
Doesn't everyone think they look good for their age? Everyone I know does. No one even thinks they look their age which is impossible. I did until I passed a certain age. Women become invisible to men after 50. The opinions of the older folks are ignored unless they're in politics, have been for a long time, and have gained some stature. Nancy Pelosi comes to mind. She can corral Democrats in the House. But most women, and often men, are ignored after 60.
I don't know any obese people in their 20's and 30's. I don't recall ever seeing obese seeing someone under 40 or was obese. That seems to come later. But perhaps that's only true in my area of the country?
