Is it me or are they a bit too narrow? Debating whether to keep or return them. I didn't realize how difficult it was to find good sandals that fit well and look halfway decent. The first ones I posted are not too comfortable if I wear them longer than a couple hours.
What's the best way to remove a clear coat on the toes? Going to wear sandals this weekend but the toes look a bit too shiny and I don't want to admit that I had a pedicure lol.

What???? Are you ashamed to take good care of yourself? Social stigma?
Why you feel people will ask and why you feel you NEED to explain anything to them?
Perhaps they will just compliment you on that?
You should be an example to many men who think that getting pedi is "not manly"

I must admit that it is social stigma 100%, that it is not seen as "manly". It's not a common thing men do, at least around here.

I have some family members that I'm sure would ask as they notice any slight change in appearance and tend to be judgmental. Even just wearing flip flops seemed to be an issue as I wore flip flops to a recent gathering and one family member questioned why I was wearing them. It's not that the event was inappropriate for them but he mentioned I never wore them before. And then my gut reaction was to explain. *facepalm* I don't know why I feel the need to do so. I can only imagine the reaction if I were to get my ears pierced.

Looks good. Not too flashy. Stay with magnetic for a while. Try different things. No harm with that.
Thanks! Definitely want to stay away from anything too flashy. Good idea to stay magnetic for now. I'm looking at these:

This will allow me to wear them in environments I'd feel the most comfortable wearing them and get used to them before going through with an actual piercing. Once the ears are pierced, it's my understanding that earrings need to stay in for 6 months to a year.

That's right ^^^, so magnetic option is a great idea. Also very easy to remove, if needed.

Unfortunately your circles are stuck in 18 Century, are biased and judgmental.
You are an adult and don't need to defend yourself or your ways to live your life. Do not let them intimidate you!!
While you can't change your family beliefs, you surely can ignore the comments. They will get used to the NEW you. Perhaps take example.

Unfortunately yes. I think that's why I've always played it safe as far as fashion goes...never wanting to stray from my normal bland style.

Yeah I need to do a better job of ignoring the comments and you're right they will get used to the new me eventually. It's just that initial hump I need to get over.
