Looking for a brow makeup, any form, which is available in hard to find colors. My brows are taupey dark brown but dark browns look reddish or just too black. Any suggestions? My hair is light brown.

have you gone to Sephora? they have several sections that deal with brows. My problem is that mine are black, and all I can find are taupy, brown shades!

Try: 1) Anastacia-she's a brow specialist and makes eyebrow powders and pencils.
Also: 2) Tarte, 3)Benefit, and 4) Stila all make brow powders. I have definately seen taupy browns.

as a little trick, you can try using an eyeshadow in a shade that matches your brows and use that. I did that with a soft black powder, and it worked ok.

Good luck!

This was going to be my advice, too! If you can't find it at Sephora . . . then I don't know what to tell you!

Thanks for the tips. Didn't know about Anastacia. Will check out the others, too!

You can also use a matte eyeshadow + brow wax.

I like e.l.f.'s brow powder kit. Its only 3 bucks:
Eyebrow Kit | Brow Kit

Its a lot less red than Revlon's medium and dark brow powder.
I use the medium and I can make it darker for night or barely there for light make-up/day.
My hair is also light brown/ palest skin tone so "too dark" is a common problem for me too.

Just a tip:
Use the wax, then tap on the powder.
Finish and lighten by brushing the brow into place with a stiff yet flexible bristle barrel brush (like a mascara wand) They also sell that on elf's website in the tools but I honestly just use an old mascara wand I washed out and that works just fine. Its just the classic type, not the new rubber ones etc.
If it is still too dark run a stroke of face powder over it. ( I just use whatever compact face powder I have)
