I have had the same black leather purse for close to 10 years. I paid $8 for it at the flea market. I can't imagine paying more that $20 for something that is going to end up on the floor in my truck being drooled on by my dog.

Wow that is just low! People do suck

At this point in my life, probably no more than $60.
If my girlfriend was buying it....she'd probably spend no more than $250 and I wouldn't let her spend more than that.

I plan on buying a new purse today at TJMaxx. You can save a lot of money by getting your purses there.

I need a new Kathy purse!! I've had my current purse for some time.

On the stealing yes people do suck.

They don't care they will steal anything they don't care if you are disabled or living in the streets they will steal. I've heard of people so down and out living in tents being ripped off. SAD

I have no problems spending 4 digits on purses currently, but low 4 digits
Honestly to me, money is all relative, the amount you are putting out just depends on the amount coming in. I would spend 5 digits if I had that much coming in (or if I didn't have a kid in private school

Like I said I know for a fact it isn't a Whitney because the design is all wrong number one and it's made of suede (so stated) and not leather.
I also know for a fact Cole Hann will not allow anything to leave his place unless it's is top notch. Which is why I would pay up to $200.00 clearance, sale with coupon. However that is my pocketbook Cole Haan is worth the money.

Ain't it cute

I have one bag I paid 50 cents for at an estate sale the end on the handle seem to be coming unsewn so I gotta redo those only at the very ends so gotta get that fixed soon. The 50 cent bag I think has real leather handles but am unsure.

I do own an 80's belt I made myself with the help of an actual leather worker. It's not worth a whole lot because I have my name on it. But then again it's not for sale and never will be.

It looks more homemade to me and not vintage. She stated vintage 80's style. I say homemade 80's style. However It is worth $12.00 including shipping. The site I go to have lots of homemade stuff. I will know more when it arrives should be here today according to tracking.

Maybe it's an Ohio thing, but I've never paid over $30.00 for a purse either.

I bought a black leather D&B for Christmas a few years ago...it was $325, however, I used gift certificates and ended up forking out about $175. One year for my birthday I splurged and bought a Marc Jacobs purse for $300. Within 1 hour, I returned it. I just could not see paying that kind of money and it did not make me feel any more "special" than some of my $30 bags.

LOL, maybe it is! My sister and I have the same purse!

Of course, I didn't say that I didn't have 10 or 12 purses that cost $30 or less ... ... all of which are of varying ages and conditions. But I agree with the person who said they didn't want to spend a lot on something that winds up on the floor of the car/restaurant/kitchen/bathroom/etc.

I've seen so many Louis Vuitton around here it ain't funny. But then again there is a Louis Vuitton in Orlando so that maybe the reason. I have even seen them at Yard Sales. I may just have to pick up a few of them.

I'm still amazed at how many people own them. I pass them by all the time because I've seen them so much. I'm going to buy me a few of them next time.
