I have never had this problem before, in my whole life. Quite the opposite, my face was so greasy...lotions and make up made it look greasier, so I stopped using a long time ago. I havent moved anywhere, so I know its not a climate issue.

My skin gets itchy, red and patchy all alot my hair line, in between my eyebrows and on my cheeks area near my nose?

Anyone have this problem?
Anyone know what to do and what to use?

Are you drinking enough water? It is essential to get enough water to keep your skin and hair folicles healthy.

Have you changed soaps or shampoos? Hairspray?
Otherwise, perhaps see a dermatologist or even your regular doc.

are you using any new products, i.e. foundation, base, sunblock? I once thought I was allergic to the chlorinated pool water (had itchy skin, rash, redness). Turns out it was the new sunblock I was using.

You may also want to check with your doc to see if you have rosacea. Sometimes can be brought on or exacerbated by stress. I'd try the regular fam practice doc first, before going to the specialist though.

I get a touch of eczema every year about this time in the same areas you described, when the weather turns cold and dry. I dab on a bit of cortisone cream 2x a day and it usually goes away pretty quickly. My scalp also gets dry and flaky - I use Selsun Blue once a week or so and it helps quite a bit. Of course you should check with a doctor, but it's probably a temporary condition.

I was thinking the same.

You might want to try the L'Occitane products. They use shea butter and have really rich creams. I use them in the winter. For very dry arms and legs, I also add Dr. Denese Hydroshield body serum. I can't stand the dry winter itch as the weather changes.

Sounds like seborrheic dermatitis to me, especially with your history of oily skin. My husband uses regular Head and Shoulders for this, he washes all affected areas with it and it helps a lot. He gets it at the hairline and the other places you mentioned also, plus the scalp itself. If you do have seborrheic dermatitis, you do NOT want to use any kind of heavy moisturizer on it as that will actually make it worse.

Sounds like you have eczema. Try over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone.
