I don't miss flip-flops at all. I think they're horrid.
Me, neither. I can't walk in them. A few years ago when the backless sandals really started to become the rage, I wondered out loud to a few friends why women wear them just to be fashionable when they are so difficult to walk in. My friends looked at me as if I had two heads. Apparently I am the only person who has trouble walking in shoes that are not somehow held onto my feet. They come right off unless I concentrate really really hard on clenching my toes to keep the shoes on. Way too much work.
I only wear flip-flops when I get a pedicure so I can walk out of the salon and not mess up my newly-painted toesies.
Where I live, it could be pouring down rain and 40 degrees and I can guarantee that there will still be a large amount of people wearing flip flops. It's a California thing, I guess
Mine never get put away because we do have very mild winters.
The trick is to wear platform-style.. keeps your toes out of the snow- LOL!
Exactly! I just ordered some cute sweater boots, but I was thinking about it and I think my platform flip-flops will actually protect me more from rain puddles! (Both my SO and my brother call them my "Gene Simmons shoes." )
In Phoenix area, you can pretty much wear them year round during the day. We have had a week or 2 of cooler than normal temperatures recently (still in the 50s/60s) but will be getting back into the 70s next week. (This was our 2 weeks of winter lol!) It is a bit cool in the mornings, but by mid-morning it is comfortable.

It has to be really cold out for me not to wear my favorite hiking sandals. Has been in teens and 20s here for past week or two, brrrrr....so had to bring out my closed toe shoes. Now is back up into 40s, got my sandals ready!

You are not the only one! My college-aged son can't wear them at all, either. He can't even walk across the room in them. My teenage daughter and I were in hysterics watching him, they kept flying off his feet.
I have about 10 pairs. I tend to watch the online sales, and get good discount by buying them online in the winter. Then I'm stocked up for summer in San Diego. But even in the winter here you can wear them during the day if it's sunny. And I do. I hate putting on closed toe shoes unless I'm going to the gym!
I do. Maybe someday I can retire somewhere where it's warm all year round. I don't care for cold weather.
If I could live in a place where I wear shorts around the Christmas tree - you would hear no complaints from me whatsoever.
