I'm interested in buying a brief-style bathing suit for the purpose of sun-tanning and occaisional casual swim race. Most of the time I'd probably wear "board shorts" overtop. Looking at various websites, it seems there's a huge assortment in styles and patterns and I don't want to end up with something ugly, boring, or "a little too-feminine."

Here are some links to suits that I'm considering so far:

TYR Sport Online Store : Poseidon Splice Racer [RPOS1] - $36.00

Solar 1" and Journey
Speedo Catalog 2010 (http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/4d4140a7#/4d4140a7/120 - broken link)

Thoughts?
Thanks.

I am not a fan of Speedos unless they're worn by actual swimmers...for actual swimming! That being said, the Speedo Journey suit is the most appealing to me (that's just my opinion!)

I ended up picking up these, since I thought they were nice, fit well and I didn't have to order them off the internet. (extra shipping costs)

They aren't boring, probably not ugly... and hopefully not "feminine" looking.
