What's your opinion of midriff shirts? Should they be limited to women under a certain age? The reason I ask is because, being in the Texas heat, I practically live in midriff shirts and wear them just about everywhere. However, I have been told that, because of my age (36) that I'm too old to be wearing them.
However...I feel that, since I work out very hard and watch what I eat, I should be able to wear them if I'd like. I know that I won't be young forever, and since I love fashion and being youthful, I want to keep wearing them for as long as I can. Anyway, I just thought I'd get opinions on whether its' okay to keep wearing them, or if I should start untying the knots in my shirts and restrict my midriff-baring activity to the swimming pool.
I have to be honest with you Amanda...although you look HOT in midriff shirts, they are not in style and haven't been in style for a long time....since the early 90s. It reminds me of high school...those midriff shirts.
Just my opinion. They are not classy.
I dont think grandmas should be wearing them or any woman over 50 even if they are in shape . why just the other day i was at the post office and this woman who was clearly a grandmother , had on a t back with low cut jeans . My aunt who is just a tad bit over 50 herself said how disgusting that looks so low class !! I have to agree women who are 50 are not 20 anymore and they have to come to terms with that .
My daughter calls them "belly shirts". She wore them in middle/high school but recently ditched them all after cleaning out her closet. She's 23 and in great shape...but so over that look.
