Heels are nothing but a fashion fad that comes and goes and also depends on age and ability. There is nothing inherently natural about heels and womens feet, it was just made up. Some people like them and some don't. Not wearing heels doesn't make anyone frumpy or lazy or unattractive, that is an entirely different issue.
I can say that heels are dangerous and bad for your health. Why would men equate something like that to "beauty" unless they really had an issue with women? I don't know. It's not far removed from getting fake boobs or lipo, which also seem to be required for "beauty" in some circles these days. Pornification of women....that's really where all comes from. In that respect it's not surprising that men like women in heels, just as they like them looking ready for sex at all times too. That's not my concern however, that's not why I exist.
Fortunately many men like natural girls, sans makeup even. That probably surprises those who like the dolled up look but it says a lot about the man and how they relate to and perceive women. It also says something about how much stimulation men need, more and more and more. Once you get used to one thing then you need to add another. Some men have become immune to the natural look of women and need them to do various things in order for them to get aroused.
That said, I wore heels (and sexy clothing) when I was young but not any longer. I can't even if I wanted to because I have too much metal in one of my ankles that my foot doesn't bend properly anymore.
I'm glad Merovee quoted you because I missed this post the first time. Great stuff to think about.
I'm from Russia (Moscow) and i live here all my life. you know it's not true most women wear heels here. i usually wear heels in my office but i rarely do it outside of my work place. today i tried to count women wearing heels in Moscow streets and i would say there were about 30 percents of them.
Cuz, the other 70% were old ladies and little girls? Sweetie, you gotta be living in some different Russia. I'm in the office right now and every one of my female colleagues is in heels (aaaand now they're getting the wrong idea about me checking out their feet).

i went to Russia with a friend of mine as a helper for him to bring his new wife back to the states ..my friend went over there for about 5 years and was comeing back to the states once his assignment to the Russia office was over and now he was moveing back home..
let say it was a lot of fun to be there in the middle of the winter and watch the ladys pull off some amazeing feats of walking in heels around the snow and ice covered streets and to sit in his office and watch the lady walk around in the place with heels on and dress very nicely ..
they did find out that i can speak Russian only by slipping up and answering a person who called my name out in Russain as i was leaveing on day and turned around and answered them in Russian and one of the lady told the other group of the ladys see i told you he could speak Russian ..i was laughing for my friend told me that was not nice to play the dumb American on the girls in the office .. but they did get even with me on the day we left ..
i do have to say for the two weeks i was there i did run a little amuck in the local office that we where at trying to date some of the single ladys there ..that all iam going to say on that one .. but it was fun when i was there and notice the one thing that the ladys allways looked nice in the office and out of the office ..
iam not a good locking guy by any means and i did find it funny at times when i was out with my friend and his wife she would ask me something and soon as i opened my mouth to speak in reply i would get your from America and it would start from there from the local ladys ..
I have heels on............. yes, definitely better than flats!
cool, lemon&lime!
im agree with you!! i bought last day boots on heels. but if be honest im worry after read this topic that american people wonder when see girls on heels.
im pretty tall girl, but mostly im on heels every day. and i found it beautiful,
i hope people will not look at me there with roll eyes as on something wild...
I find it impossible to believe that anyone is actually comfortable in heels. Yes, they are pretty. But, they are very useless footwear to wear on a day to day basis. They always hurt, and you can't walk right in them. And they make your feet ugly. I have two pairs, but I hardly wear them. I can't leave my house without them hurting. I'd rather haves shoes that I could run in (not necessarily sneakers).

I wear heels almost daily. 4" heeled boots are my go to shoes as of late: click here to see pic I have them in black and brown. I also have my share of thinner and higher heels and have no problems walking in them. My feet look pretty decent, minus the fact that I need a pedi to get my tootsies painted.
