For all of you in NWA, don't forget the Benton County Fair started yesterday and will run through Sunday afternoon, but Sunday the activities will be minimal so try and attend by Saturday night. It really is a pretty good family activity.

We went yesterday, it was great! Really what you expect from a county fair- lots of animals, wonderful exhibits (though according to my husband, the pumpkins were small this year- they looked big to me!), and also some nice informational booths. I bought a wonderful zuccini and walnut bread!

Did you win any ribbons Nmnita?

I don't know. Hubby decided to have a flair up of something but doctor isn't sure what. Anyway his foot swelled up and he can barely walk. Hopefully meds will take the swelling down. Instead of spending yesterday at the fair he spent it with is foot up. I guess we will go on Sunday to pick up my jars and will know then. By Sunday almost everything will be over, but we will get to see a few things.

Thanks for asking, I will let you know.

Nita

Well, I didn't want to go around bragging, but you asked so, I was pretty happy, I took 4 first places and several second. It was a little different than the NM fair. Actually the first place were not quite as impressive, long story, but I was really happy anyway..Next year I hope to do better now that I have a little more idea exactly how it works. If fact I am starting tomorrow to get ready for next year's fair. I am making red onion, wine jelly or jam, haven't decided which.

Thanks for asking,

Nita
