We had those Volcanoes, some millions of years ago.But we had no volcano eruption in about the last thousand years.

Well I did get a picture of a rainbow that went from one side of the canyon to another. I wouldn't have gotten that any other day.
Yes it was my first trip and it was very cool.

I loved living up at Grand Canyon just because of the summer storms, the sunrises and sunsets and the rainbows! I had soooo many pics of all that I finally had to do some major weeding out.

Glad you enjoyed it! I always have, no matter how many times I've been there, it's always breathtaking.

Remember this?

It's now spring 2013...was the 2010 tornado a warped fluke of nature or have tornadoes popped up in this same stretch since then?

Weather updates anyone?

I live in sedona and am not aware of any further tornados. We do get some very strong wind at times though.

Yeah, I can't recall any either. The only reason this made it on the board is because it's unusual. I don't see any 'tornado notice' posts in the Iowa, Nebraska, or Oklahoma forums.
