To the editor:

You have heard many times the saying that "patience is a virtue." Unfortunately, I've never been very good at it.

On the plus side many people who know me say that I am very enthusiastic, hardworking, productive and results oriented.

Although the above mentioned traits are positive, one of the things I must constantly remind myself of is that some things just take time.

I remember well as a somewhat younger man in the process of learning a healing discipline I wanted to grasp onto it and hold on to what I was learning.

My friend would often counsel me, "Time is on our side." Obviously I was a very impatient student.

Eventually I learned that much knowledge comes from inside and awareness takes time, study and discipline.

This is true in many parts of living a quality life.

Other things we are involved with have processes and procedures that must go forward in order to reach the desired outcome.

So it is with the people that come to my door, stop me in the street, grocery store or post office or see me at work.

They all ask the same question, "What's going on with the theme park?"

Let me re-emphasize these points. This is a complex, well thought out project and unlike anything that has ever been done this way before.

Please remember putting something together the size and scope of this project is an incredible undertaking.

There is a great deal of work being put in on this project by some incredibly talented and dedicated individuals. Work is continuing on many levels and the work is getting done.

I myself can't wait to jump in and be an even more active part of bringing this incredible, quality project to the northland.

Our entire team is itching to participate even further into the creative process and development of the Renaissance Park.

I am often reminded by Mike that there are deliberate and important processes and procedures in place that will make the multi-themed park all that it can be. I can assure you that the final product will be nothing short of amazing.

The theme park is real. It's coming to northern Arizona. It will be an awesome, super quality facility with world class features, attractions and entertainment.

Thank you for your patience as the work continues. More information is coming soon and our patience will be rewarded.

To the editor:

This is in reply to Mr. Worden's letter.

Mr. Worden, we were so happy and excited to read your letter to the editor about "the theme park."

I have property in Valle. So far, our plans are to live in Williams.

We presently live in California. We plan to make a trip there in the spring. Winter is approaching here in the San Bernardino Mountains. I understand it's about the same there?

We have a subscription to the Williams-Grand Canyon News. We have been searching in this newspaper for any news about the upcoming theme park. So you can imagine how delighted we were when we saw your letter. We hope to hear more about any updates.

I believe the theme park has started and its on the West side of Williams south side of I-40 the 1st exit for williams coming from the west.
Been burning brush and clearing land behind the hills.
Been mistaken in the past could just be another housing development, watch it as I go by back and forth to Flag.

I feel badly about the theme park coming to Williams. Another beautiful pristine area will be ruined by man made developments for the sole purpose of greed, investmets, entertainment, or what have you. The same thing is happening in Flagstaff too. I remember when it used to be a 'joy' to go travel to and through these areas in the not so distant past.

I am with you Gabby. Hope this is not true. How terrible for our beautiful state. If it were up to the development lobby/growth lobby, the Grand Canyon would have a theme park and condo's and time share's.
What a bunch of you know what.

I checked out the website listed in the first post, but didn't see any estimated completion date. Does anybody know "for sure" if the theme park is on its way? I heard that there had been rumors of a theme park going in by Cordes Junction (which I would have thought that location on I-17 and the warmer weather) would have been better than Williams. Are the developers going to mow down all those lovely pines to make way for the 1,000-acre (according to their website) theme park plus retail? And what about water? I've always heard that alot of homeowners on the outskirts of Williams as you head toward the Grand Canyon have to haul water?

I'm really curious as to what anybody knows about this.

Apparently the Theme park is still moving forward at turtle speed.

The multi-themed amusement park, proposed for Williams by Grand Canyon Northland Amusements and Entertainment (GCNAE), will come before city council during their next regular meeting March 22. Real estate for the theme park will also be discussed, though Mayor Ken Edes said during the March 8 regular meeting of the Williams City Council, that those real estate items would go into an executive session not open to the public. "Because it's dealing with real estate and the real estate issues that they can't make public, they have asked me if we can do an executive session before our regular meeting and then we'll present their plan at the regular meeting," said Edes. "We can talk about what we'd like to see, where we'd like to go and grow and things like that and then they'll present their findings to the public after the executive session."

This Theme Park in Williams will be an open invitation for the construction of Masterplanned Communities,Shopping Centers and everything else you'll find in Metro Phoenix.

It seems like Developers aren't enough in paving over the Desert,now they want to pave over the land up in the Mountains too.

Hoo-ray! Jobs coming to the Williams area.

Living wage jobs? Not really. Service jobs just might keep your head above the water though if you work two of them. No time for the kids? Too bad. How's life in that trailer home? As long as you're OK with it, we're OK with it. And if you're not OK with it that's your problem.

Is this an attempt to snare some tourist dollars from people driving to & from the Grand Canyon?

Nothing wrong with making a buck, but why not another Casino where you really milk tourists out of their money.

Works well in Camp Verde. They bus in the seniors to spend their Social Security, all in the safe, smoke-filled environs with the 'get-rich-quick' mentality we so love. When someone has a problem and puts their family finances in peril from their gambling addiction the casino can provide a 1-(800) number for self-help. What a concept!

The exalted Casino - maximum bang for the buck & provides upfront (and continuing) collusion & payoff opportunities for the native-American and non-native American politicos & construction insiders. Oh wait. This can be done with a theme park too. Oh baby! Can I bid on a T-shirt concession? $1000 under the table make anything happen for my bid? Everybody wins! Everybody wins!
