Love that post WCArch!

As I now live in Flag, I will say, late spring snow would not bother me, after seeing how dry it gets in early summer. I bet a foot of snow in May would be great for greening things up. This year, the reservoirs looks like mud puddles, the grass is sulking, and it seems like the whole place could go up in flames any day. The combination of drought, conifers, and incessant dry winds is kinds of scary to me. We are all holding our breath waiting for the monsoon to arrive. I really hope it is a good one!

Fiddlehead - how are you likin' Flagstaff for a place ta live? I am going there Monday for a meet and greet and actually to work a night with the lead Sleep Tech. So a job offer is probably waiting, too. I'd like ta rent in town but it's too expensive. Looking at two houses in Winslow and two in Williams.

Yeah, the place sounds as dry as us over here in Alamogordo. Yikes.

I can only speak for Flagstaff, but it seems like a real friendly town. And the environs are beautiful!
Home prices seem quite high for what you get, and for the kind of jobs available. That said, it is very nice.

Thanks for that, Fiddlehead. I would like to find a rental right in Flagstaff to be close to work, but wow, are they expensive.

Exactly...them and the greedy real estate agents and landowners. Once the roller coaster starts going uphill everyone gets to participate. The simple wageearner gets outgunned.

can be perfect or miserable or in-between....some days there will be no rain....other days, a slow all-night dribble....other days, one colossal downpour for ten minutes, then perfect the rest of the day and night....

be ready for anything....wind, cold, wet....or utterly perfect!....watch out for muddy roads, too!

Should be fine. It's graveled. A few rough or washed out spots.
