If you are going to live there I'd swap the 2wd for 4wd. Pickups SUCK in low traction conditions as there is no weight in the back end. My 150 unless I have the off road tires has to go into 4wd to go up a driveway ramp.

Or buy a cheap jeep to drive when it's snowy. The day after a storm a 2wd will go most places.

Also from what I've seen chains are not very effective up there. You have to put them on and take them off all the time. I lived in the Sierra Nevada. We put 4 wheel chains on one truck in November and left them on until April. That was the snow truck and it could handle about 2 feet! In Flagstaff if it snows 2 feet, just go to Vegas for the weekend, when you return the roads will mostly be clear.

I just went through my 2X its got all new componets, reluctant to park her now

May have to add 500lbs to the rear wheels and
look at studding the tires.
