The original poster (OP) might be a "one and doner". I didn't notice when I first posted my reply that the first post in the thread was made back in October of last year. I'm not saying the poster will not be back, but this is quite common on C-D, and I have seen many "one and doners" on here in my almost 10 years of posting on here.

This. So much this. I've been here just over 2 years and haven't made a single friend. I'm miserable here. I'm single, 37 and don't have kids. I don't fall into the college kid age, and I don't fit into the cliques of snobby moms. Maybe being a guy will be easier. I just find the majority of people here VERY rude. Bummer.

I'm hanging it up and heading back to Vegas where my family and friends are.

Good luck!

Agreed.

It's sad that people don't hang around a tad longer on this message board, If for nothing else respond to people's questions regarding the Op's status. If the OP could have gotten answers after some more research he might have liked Flag-town.

Me? I love Flag! There was one time I didn't though. Five years ago around this time I had a wild hair, decided to head down to Phoenix for some exhibition baseball, got completely socked in with one of Flag's infamous snowstorms. Was stuck at the Arizonan Motel for two and a half days. I remember another storm that eventually did in the roof at Hastings Entertainment, which shut the store down for months. The same thing happened at Bookman's which is three businesses down--heh, in THIS case I was in the store when the roof leaks went into steroid mode. The employees went to Target to buy up a bunch of plastic buckets as the leaks were everywhere! Fortunately Targe' is just up a ways from the store. This was Mar. 2010 IIRC.

Aside from that, I enjoy Flag a bunch, generally stay overnight before heading to Phoenix. Also when the Arizona Cardinals summer camp was going at the Univ., I stay in Flag for a few days, and late July/early August is a damn good time to hang in Flagstaff!

I'd love to live up there. I miss it already. $250k for a decent manufactured home and a place to put it near town is rough for me.

Is anyone familiar with extended stay motels in Flagstaff? How affordable do they get? I called one today and they quoted me at like $3500 for a month. That's nuts. We have one here in southern Arizona that's pretty decent for about $700 for a month. I'm not sure which ones in Flagstaff are like that. I googled extended stay motels in Flagstaff and called a few and they say they don't do extended stay.

I realize it won't be as cheap as down here but I hope there's something close.
