Can someone tell me what they are paying for utilities in their homes in the area? We have concerns about water rates now and in the future. This past year a current Cottonwood resident related to us about how terrible the water bills are now and we need information to help make decisions. We are coming this year and just trying to decide where to buy. We are moving to the Prescott/Sedona/Payson area but there are many decisions to be made. Thankyou in advance

It's Arizona and water is kinda a problem here.

But my water bills in the Sedona area are not unreasonable (to the point that I don't remember what they are). I have desert landscaping and drip irrigation. If you grow a yard full of vegetables, take really long showers, and wash your car every weekend expect the water bill to be high.

I'd say they are pretty reasonable here but, of course, it depends a lot on what you and your household use. Water, gas and electric for my house average $65 mo. each in winter. In summer the water stays the same. I don't have landscape that needs water except for my little pear tree. My gas bill in summer runs less than $30 mo. and the highest electric bill I've had was $160 in July with A/C. I have gas heat, hot water and dryer.
