I see this post is originally from 2010. I came across this thread by researching this motel last night. I had stopped here to do some exploring and had to know more about the property.

The property is definitely closed down, including the gas stations and fire works stand in front of the property. What was weird is there is still power on in this building. Many exterior lights on the walls were still lit as well as some of the storage rooms. it seems like it was definitely migrant housing in its final days. Alotta signage in Spanish around the property and some paperwork found in the office and some rooms.

I drove by the old Holiday Inn site on Saturday (June 17 2023). As much as I hate to say it, the former hotel building has been demolished
. The old “Budget Lodge Motel” sign still stands though. If I’m not too tired on the way back from Tennessee, I will try and get a couple photos.
