If you are the type who wants no crowds and no people having a blast it is best to stay home.

Hmmm that doesn't sound real friendly to me. I was actually responding about it being crowded because the original poster commented they didn't really want to party and were looking for quieter fun.

People wont be "partying" in Disney, they are all having a nice family fun night. Very friendly atmosphere and never ending things to do. Well worth it.

We have spent other NYE at the beaches and other places and go right back to Disney as it was the most fun for us.

May be any other places? Thanks!
If it were me.

Disney-Epcot for NYE.
Then head over to Anna Maria, Siesta Keys area for a great beach vacation.
Depends on how many days you will have. Tons of things to do on the gulf coast. Many museums, nature and historical sites along the gulf side as well.

SoFLAGal has an impressive list of museums, attractions and other things to do in the gulf coast areas. Hopefully she will be along to add her nice list of things to do.

If Busch Gardens is having a NYE event, that's where we will go. Didn't buy season passes for nothing!!

Spent last NYE at Universal in Orlando. That was fun, it has a good energy and you won't have a hard time finding beer. Enjoyed it a ton and will do that again someday.

Sorry, you said quiet places. You could always rent a boat, put around from island to island! That sounds nice too.

Why does it sound like your bragging and proud of loving hordes of people partying? It doesn't make you better than anyone else (more like Snooki and her crowd which I think most people agree are ruining the world) and certainly doesn't give you the right to tell people to stay home. People are allowed to like quiet and for there to be places for them to enjoy themselves.
Why don't you stay home and invite hordes of people over?

Actually you can party at Epcot and it fills to capacity. Last year people said it was so crowded that you really could not even walk. Many groups got separated until they left the park Most people do not bring their little ones to Epcot on NYE because of the drunks. The Magic Kingdom fills to capacity too, but they do not sell or allow alcohol in the MK.
Lots of people try to drink their way around the countries of Epcot. Cheapest drinks are about $8. Some have not learned when to stop and there are lots of incidents where people get upset with each other. Because it is so crowded if someone does heave from drinking too much or mixing types of drinks too much, the "protein spill" might end up on people near them since you can't move quickly in the crowds to get to a secluded spot or restroom. Not my idea of a fun NYE now that I am not a college kid.

The Pensacola Pelican Drop has gotten HUGE! So many downtown businesses open for the night, and the weather was perfectly crisp both years so far! Live music, fireworks - it's great. The area was hit hard buy the oil spill this summer, so spending a couple days at the beach and in the historic downtown over the holidays would be a help to some folks who are really struggling.
