Out of all the regions that are competing for high speed rail, Florida's seems like it needs it most, and Florida is also the most ready for it. Take a look at this video and look around the web site:

As a matter of principle, all of us who believe in capitalism should be adamantly against public mass transport on land...

We already have mass transport at seas & in the air.

Land is the last frontier for high quality private transport by our own cars...

If that high speed creature is ever built, it will be
...
Producing loss instead of profit,
subsidised by taxpayers' blood,
sanctuary for paroled, drunk, junkies,"homeless ",freaks, stalkers, flashers, people on welfare...

Noisy, dirty, smelly, ideal place to get infected by H1N1,TB,common flu...

It will not be the ..."Orient Express "...but a fast Greyhound on rails

We must fight ahainst any mass transport proposal...in FL & all over USA...

Did you know I-4 is the most dangerous interstate in the country? High speed rail would benefit the area. All kinds of people would use this, why would a homeless person want to travel from city to city with no money? And it will be in the middle of a busy highway so how would noise be an issue? and i'm just gonna ignore the "smelly" comment. Tampa and Orlando can finally connect to be one mega populous center if this is built. Like the video said, the tampa/orlando mega area already has over 7 million people and has the 15th largest economy in the world.

what smell?? the hundreds of cars that drive on boths sides of I-4 give off more of a smell than the high speed rail would in the median. How would anyone be able to smell anything if they're inside there car anyways. And you can get those infections in any public place.
