Looks like the Florida governer is starting to reconsider the rail line:

"But Gov.-elect Rick Scott is concerned the project could be more of a burden than a benefit to taxpayers.
"He is opposed to investing in projects that have little or no return on investment to the state," says spokesman Trey Stapleton. "After looking at a final feasibility study on high-speed rail projects and determining what the state would be responsible for, he will assess the state's funds and determine if there is adequate return on investment for the taxpayers' money."

Scott said before the election he wanted a feasibility study done.
Nothing new here.

Hopefully this project can be terminated by mr. Scott so that the money can be deverted to areas of the country with a greater need and where success will be assured.

I think he just wants to make sure the project wouldn't go into the $billions in cost over runs like the ARC Tunnel project in Jersey or the Big Dig in Boston.

A wonderful use of tax dollars there.

how convenient that all trains lead to disney. i don't see how people can be so blind to this. if a corporation wants trains to deliver customers to their doorstep, they should pay for it themselves.

florida alreay has trains and nobody uses them
