You can do what my aunt used to do to save money and bills. She bought one of those AC's that you can put in the window. It truly works wonders.

You could alternately adjust the temp up 2-4 degrees and then back to where you want it, so that the A/C will run, but buying a dehumdifier would be less costly to operate.
