Looking at these areas for buying a condo to spend our winters here as will be retiring soon. We are Canadians and are looking for a safe area, close to beaches and a complex with good amenities and pool. We like these areas as close to Spring Training for the MLB Blue jays and we love horses. Tampa Bay Downs is close to these areas and we love being close to a race track. Any suggestions or info on these areas would be great. We are looking at On The Top of The World condos in Clearwater as lots for sale there and it looks like a good complex with golf being included in the HOA. Any info on these Condos would be great. Thanks so much

Edgewater Arms in Dunedin is much nicer in my opinion...it's also 55+...I would check it out! (I'm not a realtor nor do I own in Edgewater Arms)!

Dudedin was listed as once of the best places to retire to several years ago by I think Money Magazine...but you could google it to find out...

Check out the condos at East Lake Woodlands in Oldsmar. They're close to a ton of amenities and you can actually walk from many of them to stores/restaurants. It's no where near as congested as Clearwater which I like, plus it's not 55+ though overwhelmingly adult populated. Another perk is many of them have assigned covered parking spaces. There are also nice Villas and Townhouses though they're a bit further into the development and not walkable to services like the condos on the perimeter.
