Really all you have to do is put the name of a city or town in a search engine and put real estate sales after it. All of these will come up.

Bradenton to Port Charlotte includes Sarasota. Seriously, own a map?

You have to understand, the OP said he's tired of living in Michigan, I would assume it's because of the weather. He then mentioned he'd want a condo or trailer park and wasn't a rich man. Since it's feasible that no one WANTS to live in a trailer park.

So, the deduction that he wants to get out of the horrible winters in Michigan, and isn't rich, would lead one to believe that he possibly cannot afford Florida, so I suggested two other states, with a much milder winter than Michigan, that happen to rake #2 and #3 respectively for cheapest states to live in.

It has nothing to do with liking or not liking Florida, it has to do with common sense.

That's an absolute truth Spring Hillian, you just have to wonder if it's smart to do that in a state that's still reeling from the economic collapse. Not saying that things are as bad as they were 1-2 years ago, but it's still far from being what it once was.

Common sense also dictates that you would not be happy in Texas if you find Florida more appealing, no matter the advantage.
Over the years I have found that common sense accounts for just a portion of happiness. Being comfortable in your surroundings, your situation, and your own skin make up a larger share.

Check Cape Coral, near Ft Myers. Lots of MI folks along the Gulf Coast.
