Hello,

this is my first post. I have visited Orlando, Cape Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, and Cocoa Beach. Florida seems laid back and I love the atmosphere and scenery. However, I live in Ontario and am looking to relocate to somewhere (possibly British Columbia) that reminds me of Florida. Does any area in any province in Canada remind you of home? Thanks a lot.

I'm wondering how British Columbia could remind you of Florida. I hear British Columbia is wonderful, though.

Won't Canada have more in common with the Midwest and NE than Florida? I would even think that the Pacific NW would feel more like BC compared to Florida.

Hi guys,

I honestly have never ventured out of Ontario and decided to ask this question. It is very possible that no place in Canada looks like parts in Florida. I definitely don't think that there are palm trees in Canada, however I could be wrong.

Are you saying that you haven't ventured outside of Ontario and into the other Canadian provinces? If not, then that goes against your first post...

Yes not in other provinces in Canada. And I am looking for a change.

I'm rereading you first post. Are you looking into moving TO Florida or are you looking for a place in Canada that reminds you of Florida? (which is why I think you mentioned BC)

Hi,

I am looking for a neighbourhood/town/city that may remind people of Florida. I mentioned BC, because I think it is generally warmer on the west side.

Of course it would. BC is part of the Pacific NW.

I guess you're right. Some people refer to the Pacific NW as just NW U.S. (excluding Alaska) while others just include all the areas from Oregon to Alaska.
