I Have been in Florida for 35 years and it is pathetic. I am in Jax know which at least has a fall season.
The heat and humidity starts in April and doesn't let up till minimum October-November-December.
That means mold, roaches, mosquitoes, fire ants, bad tempers, torrential rain and lightning. The government is corrupt run by developers, which pillage the land and defraud the homeowners.
Highways are undersized which causes continuous traffic problem.
The landscape is a soul killer. Jobs are low paying. Alot of deranged people here seeking paradise.
No sense of community.

I've traveled to many parts of the world, lived overseas, lived in many different cities and after all that I've decided to set up roots in Florida. Overall, it was my favorite place to live. It has beaches, warm/humid weather (after living in California, the dust in the air because it never rains gets annoying. I'll clean my car and home and there will be a thick layer of dust by morning), theme parks, shopping, most places are clean, the buildings look well-kept, homes come with pools and are priced well, parking is never a problem, streets look all pretty with landscaping, politics are fairly middle of the road... I think it's a great state and having lived there and then seeing what else is out there, I feel very comfortable setting up roots. I'll be coming back in Jan =)

Well what were you expecting moving into a sub-tropical state where humid weather and bugs thrived in cohesion before 20 million Human residents arrived?

It's like complaining that you love bathing in the Ocean and the water is too salty.
