I think it stands for beautiful geography, ultra right wingers, mosquitoes as large as the family cat, fantastic wildlife, over the top boosters (see ultra right wingers) evangelical/fundamentalist Christians, crooked and dumb politicians, an uninformed citizenry, college football, amazingly hot summers and mild winters, pushy and rude Yankee retirees, ignorant red necks, young partyers, beach goers, fishin, a state full of people from somewhere else, a poor civil rights record, the Klan, developers and realtors, a lot of criminals and drug users, the NRA, and a surprisingly amount of Buddhist organizations (just to average things out a little I suppose).

The developers are probably the worst of the bunch, as they generally consist of much of the above (minus the Buddhists of course).

Sorry, I couldn't fit it all in to the letters of the state.

Hey, this is fun...but New York has Florida beat. I've often heard Florida referred to as NYC's "sixth borough" so I feel entitled to chime in:

N: Nuts and psychopaths freely roaming the streets.

E: Excessive and oppressive taxes, the highest in the country.

W: Weather that sucks. New York doesn't really have four seasons, it essentially has two seasons. They are...Season 1: uncomfortably cold; and Season 2: uncomfortably hot.

Y: Yuck...the streets are filled with garbage and there's medical waste washing up on the beaches.

O: Oppressive property taxes...see letter "E".

R: Roads that are crumbling, despite the excessive and oppressive taxes...see letters "E" and "O".

K: Knowledge that New York is one of the worst places in the nation is what drives record numbers of New Yorkers to flee the state--for places like Florida (among others). There's a reason New York keeps losing all those House seats and electoral votes and all that income...and continues to decay. There's a reason why New York had the biggest migration exodus of any state in the nation according to the 2010 census...see letters "N" through "R".

Love the Keys and St. Augustine but I wouldn't want to live there. No snow. Kill me now.

By the time the old fart hits 65 his wife is tired of telling him to go back and change and he gets out wearing what he put together himself.

Not exactly. You just don't care what other people think about you anymore, so you dress for comfort instead of for other people's idea of fashion.

You say all that, yet the record shows the state voted for Obama, who is a democrat.
