Looking at a home for sale and wondering if this is too close to the backyard.

For resale value but also for health concerns.

We had not even noticed it the first time we looked at the house, even though we walked out to the back yard a few times.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Is this power line too close to the backyard?-img_0731.jpg

(sorry that it's uploading rotated!)

You do know all houses have power lines nearby, how do you think the house gets it's electric. Also that is a primary feeding the transformer for your house.

Meanwhile there are 2 #1 copper wires running under your yard to your house meter lol. Yeah, just don’t worry about the wires. They’re everywhere.

I think the difference here is that these are not big tower transmission type of poles/wires - and I didn't immediately realize that. I see now these are the distribution type wires.

Still, just like it made me hesitate/question it, it may make others hesitate too. So if nothing else, something to be aware of.

I'm just not understanding what your concern is exactly...

I'm surprised by all surprise LOL

I thought proximity from a home to power lines was a common question/concern for people.

First time I ever heard about it was from a Realtor - but it was those big tower type structures.

But no, not a joke.
