Awww, ferret, you don't like Bradentucky? Seriously Anna Maria is one of the best places in Florida, one of my favorites for sure.

Anyone live in Mexico Beach, FL. Looks like a nice, small town in which to live in retirement. Asking.

Don't live there, but been through it a fair number of times. I like it- seems very 'old Florida' small town with a number of big city conveniences in nearby Panama City, and prices are pretty reasonable.

Looking for great holiday spot in Florida. Dont care where but need advice as to which cities might be best for; walk to beach, mainly adults, great food, safe, interesting neighourhoods, and of course affordable, anyone have any suggestions?

Would definitely love to hear the responses to this from locals.

A few cities come to mind though unsure of what is deemed "affordable". Check out Delray Beach or Jupiter on the Atlantic coast and either Sarasota or Naples on the Gulf coast.

My husband & I along with our 9 yr old daughter would like to move from So FL to the Gulf Coast relatively close to the beach. Looking for a laidback, casual lifestyle but yet somewhat lively with culture, shopping & activities. We need to rent in a not-too expensive but safe area that is close to good schools. My husband will be looking for work in the pharmaceutical warehousing industry & I am a home health LPN. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated on what areas I should look into. Thank you.

Thinking of relocating to the gulf coast of Florida....biggest fear is snakes, alligators and bugs. We have (3) dogs and they are our babies. We currently live in South Jersey and have for our entire life....I think we pay some of the HIGHEST taxes, currently $12,000 yr!!!!...LOVE our home but my husband retired and we will NOT be able to retire in this state. Looking for low crime rate, nice ranch home with pool (for the dogs) and 1/2 acre??? Is this resonable? Nice community and not too far form the beach...
