Well I used this site a lot for my first move from NY to Ocala. We have been here almost a year. We are looking to move closer to the coast now that we have made one jump...we were a little nervous to at first. We have 3 school age children and I know how hard it is to find a good school- right now they are in a charter school that is really good and I hope to make this move the final one so we arent changing schools again. I was looking at Vero Beach and Port St. Lucie- can you offer any details if you live there? Thanks ahead-

How close to the cost do you want to be? Obviously, the closer you get, the more expensive the houses are along with higher insurance costs. Do you want to be within blocks? Or miles?...

Look at Satellite and Indian Harbour Beaches for good public schools, family environment and coastal living. Definitely has the friendly surfer "beach town feel".

The island of Venice (Sarasota County) is nice too and you should find some good deals there right now.

Good Luck!
