Glad your parents are here and will steal the vaccine from 2 teachers or first responders, good on them for that!

With the way Canada is lagging you bet they'll be here getting the vaccine and DeathSantis will be happy to provide it.
I sure hope they receive the vaccine soon, which it appears [thanks to DeSantis], they will.

Yes, thanks to him seniors are swarming vaccine sites with no social distancing while the state reports 22% positivity in tests. WHAT COULD GO WRONG? (https://www.miamiherald.com/news/cor...248147825.html)

This all so embarrassing, these people are dead folks walking. If my grandparents were alive, they would NOT be here.

The only thing embarrassing here is your spouting this rhetoric for what appears to be a political agenda.

More anger.

And DeSantis' plan actually increases risk for more frail elderly people. I've worked in aging and the CNAs and persona care aides we scheduled would have as many as 8 different homes in a week. Those employees do the same work as nursing home workers and need to be grouped along with them.

Except that DeSantis is going against medical advice and is the one who is making it all political.
He's gotten better than average results in the 2nd oldest and 3rd most populated states in the USA. B+

Its all about the results he's achieved.

I just heard on CNN that Florida is near the top of the pack with distribution by percentage, though the process of distribution is a mess. So, maybe it’s going better than expected. Our disaster experience may be working in our favor. Nationally, it’s a mess. We’re still the laughing stock of the world.

And the numbers are probably much better versus what we see as there is lag time between administration of the vaccine and actual reporting.

Supply is the current issue, but once we see more vials move into distribution , things will get better. I see that 40,000 pharmacies have registered to carry the vaccine once we have better availability.

That seems amazing. But I checked it and you are right. It just seems that way where we are!

No, he hasn't.

Any positive results have been despite him, not because of him.

His policies are more lax than that of some of the counties he represents, and millions of Floridians are choosing to self-quarantine, or wear masks where the state doesn't require them, or social distance where the state doesn't require it, or adhere to curfews that don't exist because the state AND county doesn't require them.

In other words - most of the people who aren't spreading this virus or catching it, are not doing so because of their refusal to obey the guy who is making suggestions and requests without mandates.

When your leader says "you don't have to but hey it'd be swell if you did" then your leader isn't leading.

But the people complying with what the CDC recommends, are doing a better job at leading than your elected official making suggestions.

By your reasoning, the deadlier states have nothing to do with their Governors either....right?

The CDC totally botched the test development and roll-out, so who are you blaming for that? NASA?

Sick.
You do realize the number of snowbirds that will show up despite the fact that they shouldn't be traveling this season? You do realize that the doses are being allocated by state population? You do realize that it requires a health care professional to administer the shot and their numbers are limited? It's not like the old polio vaccine where you swallow the sugar cube. How are you going to feel about waiting many more months?

That means residents will have to wait until that "entitled snowbird" gets theirs. Every snowbird they vaccinate means you drop down in the line. You better hope they have enough in GA, MS, and AL or those residents will be crossing the border taking the allocation that was meant for FL residents.

Just got an email from a friend who is a snowbird. She can't believe she can come to FL to get a vaccination, when she can't even get one in her home state. Here they come. But how do you ship her allocation and a person to administer it to FL? There's the question.
