I don't think desantis will run unless trump is not running. I'm not a big fan of republicans but for me the main issues are less immigration, and I don't want more refugees or affirmative action or hate speech against white people so I support trump and desantis as those are the main issues with me along with jobs and I think we need merit and smart people instead of diversity and equity in government.

But one dude at Guantanamo hard to base judgement on what he says maybe he just wants political points or has a personal grudge. Desantis became a military lawyer even though he scored at the top of his class and would have made a lot more money elsewhere and he left the military with honors.

Which Obama campaigned on closing Guantanamo but the deep state CIA told him no so he didn't yet this guy doesn't blame Obama. He wouldn't have been there if Obama closed it yet he blames a military lawyer for what happened to him? Seems like it's all for political points.

If DeSantis runs, Trump will run as an Independent, and by doing so, will take all of his fervent supporters with him, all but assuring a Democratic win in 2024. No way Trumps ego allows him to go against DeSantis. Republicans need to get their crap together and form a united front. This bickering back and forth isn't accomplishing anything. That said, I'd gladly lose DeSantis as governor if it means getting him into the White House. Trump did some good things, but he's just too obnoxious, too outspoken and too much of an egomaniac. I'd like to see a young man and a military man in the big seat again. DeSantis 24!

Why is he travelling to other states/countries every week if he is not running for pres 2024? Did he travel like this when he was running for governor?

Oh, he's campaigning for sure. I only used "if" because he hasn't officially announced it.

He may or may not be running; but he is bringing in business to the state of Florida from other countries. An example is the new hydrogen plant coming to Mulberry, from a South Korean company. There was a recent press release about his visit there.

I don't think DeSantis is running for president at all...

not only businesses....but DeSantis is positioning himself so he does have some say about the election.

Who, and what policies they promise.

As close as our elections are, if DeSantis can control 10% of the electorate....he can run the election

I sure hope you're right, but it just looks more and more to me from DeSantis' recent activities he has every plan to run for President. I wish it weren't so, I think we need him to finish out his second term as governor.

I have the impression that DeSantis is effective as governor.

I have the expectation that he would be useless as president.
