White shoes and belt are acceptable after Labor Day, provided it's on a man and at early bird.

That is hysterical but probably true, as I remember going to the early birds with my parents years ago.

They mean the Early Bird specials at restaurants. The prices are cheaper. Some restaurants designate times for this. The older people love it!

Maybe, but nothing beats up north throwing on a long coat over your pj's and going out for coffee or a quart of milk at 6 AM. Don't even have to get dressed. Hell, you could be buff naked under that coat and nobody would be the wiser.

Coats have many advantages.

You neglected to mention the rest of the male EB ensemble: print shirt, plaid shorts or slacks (polyester) & thigh-high nylon socks!

You can wear white in FL after Labor Day. No one will snicker or point.

I was at a BJ's club once and saw an older man(70's) wearing a yellow shirt, plaid shorts, red socks(naturally to his knee, so we get 3 inches of white leg showing) and SANDALS!!! I told the wife if I ever wear that, shoot me....
