I don't have much info for you except that my neice and her family live in Lakeland. They love it there and she's a nurse in the hospital and loves it. She has never complained about the treatment or the wages and benies there.

rn pay in lakeland is like the same, or even higher than here in orlando. with lower cost of living... go figure...

i have family in lakeland (originally from pbc) and they like it i think. it's definitely different from south fla... gator fans everywhere and a lot of country music fans... all around, a pretty nice place to be.

I have a few nurse friends that commute to Lakeland because the pay is better and so is the hospital. It is a great town in my opinion and has everything a larger town could offer while keeping that small town feel.

Smile lakeland info

Thanks to you all for the advice-it was my mistake I think that Southlake hosp IS in Clermont-oops!
Lakeland reall does sound like the place for us and I'm hoping the hospital is as nice as you've all made it sound.
I am really looking forward to the move and am counting the weeks down-any more advice would be seriously welcomed.
cheers and thanks again x
